Asthma

Asthma is a reversible constriction of the small muscles in the bronchioles. This happens due to pollen inhalation, cold wind, viruses, allergy to dogs and cats and moulds.

It is quite easy to treat and the children are able to participate in all sport activities.

Don’t ignore asthma. Due to the recurrent inflammation, the fine membranes between the alveoli start to thicken and later in life breathing problems may arise. But not all that wheezes is asthma.

Often in the winter months, children under two years of age have a viral respiratory disease called Bronchiolitis. When your child or baby is not breathing well or cannot drink as well as usual, it is a sign of a respiratory problem. Please do consult a paediatrician.

Bronchiolitis is a viral disease. Antibiotics will not help in this situation.
